About Me

I am a Network Engineer that has been in this field from 2016 till now. As a Network Engineer, I plan, engineer, and supervise the implementation of all Classified, Coalition, and Non-Classified data systems.  Engineering includes deployed security boundaries, Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), network encryption solutions to support Command and Control (C2) requirements for the Department of the Defense (DOD).

As an Engineer, I advise DOD staff members on all matters relative to the design, employment, and management of network systems, equipment, and personnel. Providing guidance allows the agency to see how they can deploy networks owned and what services will be provided based on the area of operations.

My career aspirations and are to continue developing my knowledge and experience by applying for the Program Management position in my occupational field; This job provides technical guidance for the procurement and integration of new information technology (IT) networking systems into current and future networking architectures in support of both garrison and tactical networks. To keep up with how fast technology is advancing, making sure that we are identifying and hardening the efforts of allowing vulnerabilities in our government systems. Program Management requires the most up-to-date technologies to keep the users and information passed on the network safe. To do that, you need to introduce it to the engineers and companies that have those systems. Being a limited duty officer allows the ability to bridge the gap between innovative technologies and the government.

In this class, I'd like to gain a more well-rounded concept of information technology outside of the networking of 1s and 0s.  I want a better understanding of basic concepts for programming and systems design.
